We worked with Susan to purchase a home in Roxbury in 2025. I can't recommend Susan enough. She is genuine, patient, organized and thoroughly understands the process of buying a home and the broad catskills region. She recommended homes to our family well as researched/coordinated showings with homes we found on our own. She then worked around our schedule to carefully plan out days to see houses. In all I think she spent 4 (long) days driving all over the catskills with my family (including our 3 restless children) taking us to see houses. Susan always had our interests first and we never once felt pressured. Over time she really got to understand what we were looking for, and ensured that even when we may have made rash decisions to just buy something, that we stayed grounded in what would truly be best for us. She knew what regional nuances to look for in homes and what questions to ask of the sellers. In the end, she helped us find and purchase a home that we are absolutely in love with. It was initially in contract, but Susan stayed on top of it, even calling me while she was on vacation to let us know the contract fell through and that she wanted to immediately submit a new offer. When it came time to closing she recommended great locals from lawyers to inspectors. She was a rational negotiator, ensuring local nuances were taken care of (like water potability) prior to moving in. Since closing she's even followed up several times to check in on how everything is going. If your looking for a hard-ball real estate agent that is going to get you into a house asap, Susan is not for you, but if you are looking for someone who thoroughly knows what she's doing and takes the time and care to put your needs above everyone else, Susan is perfect. We highly recommend Susan and will certainly give her a call if we ever needed her services again.
